Hi, I’m Ben.

I’m a journalist with eight years of experience in major newsrooms like NBC News and The New York Post. I’m now working full-time as a freelance reporter. My reporting has brought me everywhere from a queer enclave in the Ozarks to a 20,000-person gun rally to the Dollywood theme park in Tennessee.

I’ve been a general assignment reporter for most of my career and pride myself on being able to write about pretty much anything. I’ve covered elections, court cases, protests, and award shows.

I’m available for freelance work and can confidently write, report, edit, fact-check, and manage newsletters.

I have an MFA in fiction from Brooklyn College, where I was the recipient of the Donald Fine Scholarship. I’m currently working on my first novel.

Feel free to get in touch.
